“Many serious and fatal injuries are caused by "accidents" that could have been prevented. Red Cross First Aid courses provide people with the tools to be prepared when an accident does occur and more importantly, teaches them how to prevent accidents from happening in the first place.” – Candace

Bruce Ward

Bruce became involved in first aid while volunteering on Adventure Races. After starting as a "check point" observer he decided it would be more interesting to join the Medic Team. He started by taking the Canadian Red Cross Wilderness and Remote First Aid course, enjoyed the experience very much and went on to take many more courses including the Emergency Medical Responder certification. Bruce then decided to continue to the Instructor level and became a Red Cross Instructor Trainer. He teaches all levels of Canadian Red Cross first aid and also the WorkSafe Occupational Level 1 course. Bruce is also certified as an OFA Level 3 attendant.
