Intermediate First Aid / Standard First Aid & CPR C Renewal and Recertification

Save on Your Intermediate First Aid Blended Course

Holders of a valid Standard, Intermediate, or Level 2 First Aid certificate qualify for a discounted rate on our full Intermediate First Aid Blended Course. Certifications are valid for 3 years.

Why We Offer the Full Course at a Discount?

  • Hands-On Retraining: First aid skills naturally fade over 2 to 3 years without regular practice. Standard recertification exams test your skills immediately with zero review time, which can be stressful and ineffective.
  • Confidence Over Testing: Instead of a high-pressure, assessment-only class, we offer the complete course at a reduced price. This gives you dedicated time to brush up on guidelines, practice hands-on techniques, and rebuild your muscle memory.

When you walk out of our classroom, we want you to feel completely ready to act when it matters most—and confident enough to save a life.

Course Fees and Eligibility

Discounted Renewal Rate – $120.00 + GST Available if you hold a valid, unexpired Intermediate,  Standard or Level 2 First Aid certificate.

Course Format & Duration

Intermediate First Aid & CPR C is a 16-hour blended course combining flexible online study with essential hands-on training.

Online Theory (Up to 8 Hours): Complete self-paced modules online. If you are renewing, this section typically goes much faster as a refresher.
In-Person Session (8 Hours): A full-day classroom training required for all participants—whether new or renewing—to practice and master critical first aid and CPR skills.

How blended learing works

Our blended course is split into two required parts: online theory and an in-person practical skills session.

1. Online Theory Component

  • Accessing Your Course: Within 48 hours of registration, the Canadian Red Cross will email your course access link. Please check your spam/junk folder if you don't see it.

  • Flexible Learning: Work at your own pace—you can log in and out anytime, picking up right where you left off.

  • Tip: If your in-person session is more than six weeks away, wait to start your online training until 2–3 weeks before class so the material stays fresh.

2. Practical Classroom Session

  • Strict Prerequisite: You must complete the online theory before your scheduled classroom date. Incomplete online modules result in denied entry and a forfeited fee with no refund or transfer.

  • Completion Deadline: You must attend your in-person class within 6 weeks of finishing the online course. Beyond 6 weeks, the online module expires and you must re-register.

CPR level

Our Intermediate First Aid courses includes CPR Level C and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training. CPR Level C includes adult, child and infant skills.
