Stay Safe! Virtual – June 26, 2021

  • Virtual Classroom
     June 26, 2021
     9:30 am - 2:30 pm

The Canadian Red Cross Stay Safe! virtual course teaches children aged 9-13 basic first aid and how to be safer and more confident when home alone.

This course is delivered in a virtual classroom (using Zoom) by a certified Canadian Red Cross Youth Leader.

For virtual classes, the following is required:

Supervision

  • An adult must be onsite with the learner – they do not need to be present in the on-screen, but must be available in the space to help when needed.
  • Learners must have their video and audio on for the duration of the session so the instructor can see if they leave the room or are distracted.

Computer Access

Participants will need access to a computer or tablet with reliable internet access, webcam, speakers, and a microphone. We use the Zoom platform for our virtual classes. We will email you a link to access the class a few days before the start date. You don’t need to register for a Zoom account to participate in the class.

Course materials

We will mail a copy of the Red Cross Stay Safe! book to each participant before the course date. After the class, participants will receive an email from Canadian Red Cross with a PDF certificate.

***Course registration must be completed by the child’s parent or guardian***

Email addresses cannot be shared between Red Cross participants. If you have a Red Cross account from previous First Aid Training that same email address will not work for the child to obtain their Stay Safe! Course Certificate. Please register the child with an email address that is unique to them.
