Here is an outline of our certification, transfer, cancellation, and refund policies:

Certification

First Aid & CPR

To obtain certification, participants must meet the following requirements:

• Attend 100% of the course. Students who arrive late may be denied admission, and students who arrive late back from breaks may not be allowed to continue with the class. Certification will not be issued to students who leave the class early.
• Complete the online component  (blended classes only) at least 24 hours before the in-person session. Students registered in blended courses who have not completed the online component of their training will be denied access to the classroom session.
• Participate in class activities and demonstrate their practical skills to the standard required by the Canadian Red Cross.
• Pass a multiple-choice test.

Babysitting and Virtual Babysitting

To obtain certification, participants must:

• Attend 100% of the course. Students who arrive late may be denied admission, and students who arrive late back from breaks may not be allowed to continue with the class.
• Participate in class activities and demonstrate their practical skills to the instructor.

Psychological or Mental Health First Aid

To obtain certification, participants must:

• Attend 100% of the course. Students who arrive late may be denied admission, and students who arrive late back from breaks may not be allowed to continue with the class.
• Participate in class activities.
  
  
• Complete an online component (for the Psychological First Aid blended course)

Online training courses

To obtain certification, participants must:

• Complete the course material, including any required quiz questions.

Transfers

We do not accept transfers within five business days of a course's start date. If you need to transfer to a different course date, please email your request to us at least five business days before your original course start date.

The transfer fee is $20.00+GST per person. No future refunds or transfers are available after a transfer has been made.

Cancellations & Refunds

If you cancel, you must make a request in writing. If you cancel five or more business days before the course start date, you will receive a full refund, less a $20.00 administration fee. You will not receive a refund if you cancel less than five business days before the course start date. This includes cancellations for medical issues.

If we cancel, we will let you know. Almost all our courses run as scheduled. However, we reserve the right to cancel. If we cancel the course, you can transfer to another course free of charge or receive a full refund.

No Shows

If you do not show up for your course, you will not receive a refund or be able to apply your payment to another course.

Repeat Classes 

If you do not pass your course's practical skills section, you may register for a repeat class within 30 days of your original class at 50% of the original course fee.

If you do not pass your course's multiple-choice test, you may contact us to book a retest within 30 days of your original class. The fee for retests is $30.00.

Requests for retests and repeat classes must be emailed. We will contact you regarding registration and payment.

If you do not receive certification because you arrived late or were late back from a break during the course, you will need to re-register for the course and pay the full course fee.

Online training

Online training courses are non-refundable.
